How to Create a New Claim

💡To create a new claim or project, click the plus icon towards the bottom-left corner of your browser. This article covers filling out the New Claim form and saving it to Loop Logics.



Steps:


  1. Select the plus icon in the bottom-left corner of your screen.

  1. Select the type of claim: Domestic Claim, Commercial Claim, or Private Works.

  1. In the New Claim form, enter the details into the appropriate fields:
  • Client / Insurer / ELA: Instructing Client, Reference, and optionally an External Loss Adjuster and Additional Reference.
  • Details: Division, Metro/Regional/Rural, Peril, Catastrophe, Excess, whether to collect the excess, Loss Date, and any Critical Information.
  • Default Job: Job Type, Description, Case Manager, Estimator, and Project Manager.
  • Customer(s): select an individual customer and their contact details, or add a customer.
  • Site Contacts: add any additional site contacts if required.


  1. Site Address: enter the site address; a map preview and driving directions link will appear once selected.

  • Reporting Options: tick Escape Of Liquid or Flood Claim if applicable.
  • Tags: add any relevant tags.
  • Compulsory fields are marked with an asterisk.


  1. Once the claim details are added, select Save and the claim will be added to Loop Logics.

👉 Saving opens the new claim page, which includes Details, Communications, AR Invoices, Cash Settlements, Credit Notes, Signing Requests, Temp Accom, and Audit Trail, along with a Claim Details panel and Contact Details panel.


FAQ

What types of claims can I create? When you click the plus icon, you can choose Domestic Claim, Commercial Claim, or Private Works.

Which fields do I need to fill in? Any field marked with an asterisk is compulsory, this includes Instructing Client, Reference, Division, Job Type, Description, and Case Manager.

Can I add more than one customer to a claim? Yes, the Customer(s) section includes an Add Customer option.

What happens when I save the claim? The claim is added to Loop Logics and opens on its own claim page, with its own Claim tab and a default job created under the workflow you selected.
