How to Create a Credit Note

💡If you need to credit part or all of an AR invoice, for example, works that weren't completed as billed, you can raise a credit note against it directly in Loop Logics.

Steps:

Start a new credit note

  1. Navigate to the relevant invoice.

  1. In the bottom left corner, select Credit Note.

Enter the credit note details

  1. Select the Credit Note Template.

  1. Add a line item if required. The description, quantity, and amount can all be edited.

  1. Use the toggle next to each line item to include or exclude GST, and enter your pricing.

  1. Once completed, select Submit for Approval.

Cancel or authorise the credit note

  1. From the submitted credit note, you can either select Cancel Credit Note, or select Authorise & Sync.

  1. Authorising and syncing will push the credit note through to Xero or whichever financial software you're using.
