How to Submit Timesheets
📲This article covers how to add a timesheet entry in the Loop Logics mobile app, either from the Timesheets tab or directly from a job. Logging your hours as you go keeps your week accurate and ready for approval, without having to reconstruct your time later.
Step 1: Open Timesheets
Tap the clock icon in the top toolbar to open Timesheets.
Details:
- Sits alongside the Appointments and Jobs icons at the top of the home screen
- Shows the current week (Monday to Sunday), with Today, Overtime, and Week Total hours at the top
- Days with entries already logged are listed below, with each job's total hours for that day
Step 2: Select a Day and Start a New Entry
Tap a day at the top of the week, then tap the + button to add a new timesheet entry.
Details:
- A day with nothing logged shows "No timesheet entries for this day"
- Opens the New Timesheet form for the day you selected
Step 3: Select the Job and Enter Your Time
Tap Job to search for and select the job you worked on, then choose between Hours Worked or Start/End Time to log your time.
Details:
- Job is searchable by job number, address, or client
- Hours Worked lets you enter hours and minutes directly
- Start/End Time instead uses a start and end time
- Toggle Overtime on if the time should be recorded as overtime
Step 4: Add Category, Trade, and Optional Details
Set Category and Trade to classify the work, then tap View More for further optional fields.
Details:
- View More reveals Notes (up to 200 characters), plus Lunch Break?, Billable Travel Time?, and Billable Travel Distance? toggles
- All of these are optional
Step 5: Save the Timesheet
Tap Save to log the entry.
Details:
- Tapping Close with unsaved changes shows a "Discard changes?" prompt, with Discard Changes and Keep Editing options
- Once saved, the entry appears under its day, and the Today and Week Total hours update to include it
Step 6: Add a Timesheet From a Job
From a job's page, tap the ••• menu and choose Timesheet to open the same New Timesheet form, pre-filled with that job.
Details:
- Useful if you're already on the job page and want to log time without switching to the Timesheets tab first
- Works the same way as adding an entry from the Timesheets tab, just starting from the job itself
