How to Activate the Job Timer

📲This article covers how to start and stop the job timer in the Loop Logics mobile app, and how the captured time carries through to a timesheet. Timing your work as you go means your hours are accurate and ready to submit without having to reconstruct them later.

Step 1: Open the Job

From your appointments home screen, tap View Job on an appointment, or open the job from the Jobs tab.

  • A running timer appears as a purple bar pinned to the bottom of the screen, showing the job number and the elapsed time, with a Stop button this stays visible as you move around the app

Step 3: Stop the Timer

Tap Stop on the timer bar to finish timing and open the Review Time screen.

Details:

  • Review Time shows the total time captured and the job it was logged against
  • This is where you check the details before the time is saved to a timesheet

Step 4: Review and Complete the Timesheet Details

Check the Date and Job, choose whether to enter the time as Hours Worked or Start/End Time, and fill in Category and Trade.

Details:

  • Date defaults to today's date
  • Job defaults to the job the timer was running against
  • Toggle between Hours Worked (enter hours and minutes directly) and Start/End Time (set a start and end time, pre-filled with when the timer was started and stopped)
  • Toggle Overtime on if the time worked should be recorded as overtime
  • Category and Trade are dropdowns to classify the work, with a View More link to reveal further optional fields

Step 5: Save or Discard the Timesheet

Tap Save Timesheet to log the time, or Discard to throw away the captured time without saving it.

Details:

  • Tap Close in the top-left at any point to exit back to the job page
