Module 6: Admin Scheduler - Adding new Job modules to a Project
đź’ˇThis article covers how to add a new job module to an existing project, from opening the new job form through to assigning the people responsible for it and saving it. - Workflow, Description, and Case Manager are required fields the module can't be created without them

- Choosing the right workflow up front matters, since it determines the statuses and blockers available on the module afterwards
👇Recap
- You've learned how to open the New Job form for a project and select a workflow.
- You've added a description and job reference, and assigned a Case Manager, Estimator, and Project Manager.
- You've created the module and seen it added alongside the project's existing job modules.
🙅♂️Common mistakes to avoid: Selecting the wrong workflow for the type of work involved, leaving the description too vague to tell modules apart later, and forgetting that a module's Case Manager, Estimator, and Project Manager are set independently of the rest of the project.
🥇What good looks like: The correct workflow selected for the work involved, a description that clearly identifies the module, and a Case Manager, Estimator, and Project Manager assigned before creating it.
FAQ
Do I have to fill in every field before I can create a job module? No, Workflow Name, Description, and Case Manager are required. Job Reference, Estimator, and Project Manager can be added later if they're not yet known.
Can a job module have a different Case Manager to the rest of the project? Yes, the Case Manager, Estimator, and Project Manager are set per module, so a project with several modules can have a different person responsible for each one.
What does selecting a workflow actually change? The workflow determines which statuses, blockers, and automations are available on that job module going forward this is why it's worth selecting the correct one at creation rather than after the fact.
Where does the new job module appear once it's created? Alongside the project's existing job modules, as a new tab you can click into straight away.
